Emigrated to London. Studied at London Polytechnic and received first commissions for book cover designs. |

Interned and deported aboard the troopship ‘Dunera’. |

Joined the Australian Army after internment at Hay, Orange and Tatura. |
| 1945 |
Produced covers and illustrations for the Current Affairs Bulletin,
after transfer to the Army Education Unit until demobilisation. |
| 1949 |
Returned to London, continued working as a free-lance designer and
lectured in Graphic Design at the London School of Printing and Graphic
Arts. |
| 1962 |
Returned to Australia and began making abstract sculpture, exhibiting
for the first time in 1965 at the Hungry Horse Gallery, Sydney. |
