Ceramic artist Fairlie Kingston was born in Sydney. Kingston uses clay to create models of pre-war iconic public buildings in three dimensions, as well as landscapes and urban scenes on clay tiles in two dimensions with an emphasis on strong line and flat, even colour. Kingston’s works have been exhibited in Melbourne and Sydney and internationally in New York. Her work is held in several Australian regional collections.
